![]() Charlie & Silas is still going through the same amnesia shenninigan we still don't know why/how/what is happening. I'm just gonna sum up this read quick because it's pretty much the same gist as the first instalment. "What I can tell you.the only thing I will tell you.is that you need to remember what it is that someone so desperately wanted you to forget. I didn't think it could get any more unbelievable after the first one, but I was wrong. This story continues to hold my interest, even if this book seemed to get a little crazier. Overall, I'm still very interested in finding out what happened to Charlie and Silas. ![]() I thought that particular aspect of the story was a bit anti-climactic. I wouldn't have minded a little more information on Charlie's escape and some sort of revenge against her captors. I would have liked it if it were toned down a little more, but I can't deny that I enjoyed it.Īs short as each of these audiobooks are, the story doesn't seem rushed at all. He was the last person seen with her and the number one suspect in her disappearance.ĭespite the fact that this story continues to get more and more far-fetched, I found myself listening the audiobook intently. Meanwhile, Silas falls under scrutiny when Charlie does not turn up. She has been imprisoned and must try and figure out exactly who is holding her captive and why. It didn't need to be made more so.įor most of this book, Charlie and Silas are separated. I won't spoil it for you, but I will say that the "amnesia" storyline was unrealistic enough in the first place. The "amnesia" that these two seem to be experiencing keeps getting stranger and stranger. If you thought that the first book was unbelievable, Part Two takes it to another level. With the help of the clues they had written down, Silas does his best to find her. She never made it home after they left the club. Please see more of my reviews at After the huge cliffhanger at the end of the first book, Part Two has Silas searching for Charlie. Couldn't the authors have just waited and delivered a full book? It's like taking a few chapters from a book and trying to decide what rating it deserves based on that small piece. I guess it just bugs me that this "part" isn't anything close to resembling a full book that I can rate accurately. The "parts" are just a collection of a few chapters and each one is not particularly long so I know it wasn't serialized for length reasons. It is clearly all part of the same story the same book. HOWEVER, I can see absolutely no reason Never Never has been serialized other than as a money-making ploy by the authors. Unlike with some of the authors' other work, nothing about the plot or the characters irritated me and I genuinely care and want to find out just what the hell is going on. I found it easy to sprint through chapter after chapter, unlocking more questions and mysteries as I went along. On the one hand, as with part one, I found this book to be written in an extremely compelling way. I cannot decide how I want to rate Never Never: Part Two.
